We are specialized in transporting vehicles on their own wheels. We use teams of drivers of different nationalities to rule out the possibility of communication problems in the transit countries.
Experienced convoy leaders head the international teams, which receive intensive training designed to prepare them for the specific challenges of their next journey. Because we use large numbers of drivers, and insist that drivers relieve each other frequently on long journeys, we achieve maximum flexibility as regards pick-up and can guarantee short transfer times.
Another special focus of our service offering is combined transportation. terra maintains excellent relations with shipping companies and organizes Ro-Ro transfers worldwide.
We handle all the necessary formalities on behalf of our clients (freight documents, special approvals for over-sized vehicles etc.) and monitor loading and unloading procedures in port.
terra also boasts extensive experience in the area of rail transportation, especially in the states of the CIS. Our staff check that the vehicles are properly secured for transport (e.g. special enclosures for driver‘s cabs) and use professional security services throughout the rail transport.
If our clients request transport on a zero mileage basis, we load the vehicles onto special trailers and take responsibility for the logistical side of the transit within the framework of our terra Lead Logistic Provider (LLP) concept.
